Town streets

The town streets and terraces were named after soldiers who were killed in action during World War I, and whose names appear on the Renmark honour roll.[

All streets in this township are named after Renmark soldiers who did not return from World War I, and the handsome plantation in the main street is in the nature of a memorial to these men-and Monash originated as, and still is, largely a returned servicemen’s settlement.
