NEW METHODIST CHURCH
OPENING SERVICES AT MONASH
Sunday last, for the non-conformists of Lone Gum and Monash, marked the opening date of their newly erected Methodist Church. Services were held in the afternoon and evening and attendances at both services were very good indeed. It was quite fitting that the door should be opened by Mrs. A. Hallam for it is felt that to Mrs. Hallam, in whose home the services have been held for some considerable time, much of the succes of the little cause at Monash is due. The key of the new building was handed to Mrs. Hallam by little Miss Winnie Lock.
By means of assistance afforded by the Murray Valley Fund the trustees have been enabled to erect the present structure, which is built of wood and iron and lined with Murralite. It measures 30 ft x 18 ft and seats about 50 people. Murray Pioneer 26 Sep 1924, page 7.
